Q1 Headset Now Available From BlueAnt

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 5/18/2009

BlueAnt Wireless, which launched its Q1 Bluetooth headset last month, said the headset became available on May 7.

Featuring the company’s voice-isolation technology and voice-recognition software, the Q1 is engineered to lets users control the headset and many phone functions just by using their voices.

In order to hear a list of the available commands, users can click the BlueAnt button and say, “What Can I Say?”

Beyond voice-dial capabilities, the Q1 reportedly enables the user to control all headset features such as pairing, volume and connection status using his voice. According to BlueAnt, it supports such commands as “redial”, “call back”, “answer/ignore call” and “check battery.” Users can ask the Q1, “What can I say?”, and the headset will verbally list all features available on the device, the company said. There is also a “Teach me” command that guides the user through all Q1 functions. Saying “Pair me” reportedly gets the Q1 to guide the user in pairing with his cellphone.

Other features include silicon ear buds; dual microphones with BlueAnt’s voice-isolation technology, a proprietary Digital Signal Processor (DSP) software solution; true multipoint — two phones can be connected at the same time; four hours of talk time and 100 hours standby.

It also has what BlueAnt calls “custom internal wind shields” that are engineered to reduce wind noise to a “whisper.” Suggested retail is $129.
