Fellowes Adds Microban Protection To Comp Accessories

Itasca, Ill. — To help consumers keep workspaces free from damaging microbes, Fellowes has partnered with Microban Products to offer what it calls the first-ever computer accessories line featuring keyboards, mice and mousepads with Microban antimicrobial product protection.
The Microban technology provides an additional level of cleanliness by inhibiting uncontrolled growth of bacteria that can cause stains, odors and product deterioration. It works continuously, so when microorganisms come in contact with the surface of the accessories, growth is inhibited.
In addition to home offices, the line is geared toward places where an extra level of cleanliness for computer accessories is needed — mainly healthcare facilities, educational institutions and places where users share the same PCs.
The Fellowes assortment of input devices with Microban protection, currently shipping, includes the basic 104 keyboard at $19.99 suggested retail; cordless keyboard, $59.99; cordless keyboard/mouse combo, $89.99; split design keyboard, $49.99; five-button optical mouse, $29.99; cordless five-button optical mouse, $59.99; and mousepad, $4.99.
