Cirago Makes Branded Debut

By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 8/4/2003

Cirago International, an OEM marketer of consumer electronics and PC peripherals, is making its branded debut in North America with portable A/V products.

Its first Cirago-branded product is the three-in-one Marvel 128MB MP3 portable, which also serves as a voice recorder and USB data-storage drive at an everyday $129. It's available to retailers, e-tailers and catalogers through Canadian hardware distributor ASI Partners and Northeast computer reseller Metro Business Systems.

The device will be followed by other MP3 players and MPEG-4 A/V portables, the first of which is targeted for year-end availability. The company also plans low-end portable audio products for the drug/grocery channel and low-cost organizers with retails for less than $20.

The thumb-sized Marvel provides 12 hours of playback on one AAA battery and features drag-and-drop file transfer.
