Blank DVD Prices Cut By Panasonic

SECAUCUS, N.J. — Panasonic is introducing recordable DVD blank media at new, more aggressive prices and is adding money-saving multidisk packs to its lineup.
DVD recordable media at lower prices include model LM-AD24OU, a 9.4GB double-sided removable cartridge at $24.95, and model LM-AB120U, a 4.7GB single-sided removable cartridge at $14.95. Others are model LM-AF120, a 4.7GB single-sided non-cartridge at $9.95, and model LM-AF120U3, a 3-pack of 4.7GB single-sided non-cartridges at $23.95, or $7.99 per disc.
Two DVD-Rs set for lower prices are model LM-RF120U, a 4.7GB single-sided non-cartridge at $6.95, and model LM-RF120U5, a 5-pack of 4.7 GB single-sided non-cartridges at $29.95, or $5.99 per disc.
Model LM-AD24OU offers 240 minutes of standard recording time, while the LM-AB120U, LM-AF120U and LM-RF120U offer 120 minutes. Panasonic's new DVD-RAM multipack features three discs for $23.95, or $7.99 per disc, offering considerable savings for consumers, according to the company. New suggested retails were effective July 1, according to Panasonic.
