Duracell Bows Pre-charged Rechargeable Batteries

By John Laposky -- TWICE, 9/24/2007

Duracell announced the introduction of Pre-Charged Rechargeable batteries — nickel metal hydride (NiMH) cells that come charged and ready to use straight out of the pack, retaining power for up to a year.

Available nationwide this fall, Duracell Pre-Charged Rechargeable batteries can be recharged "hundreds of times" in any NiMH battery charger, according to the company.

"In today's constantly connected world, consumers want batteries that are ready when needed and that last longer in power-hungry devices like digital cameras," said Tim Makris, director of marketing, North America. "Our new Pre-Charged Rechargeable batteries are reinventing the rechargeable experience by delivering instantly ready, advanced power that will deliver more satisfaction than ever before."

Available at mass, drug, grocery and specialty stores nationwide beginning this month, the Pre-Charged Rechargeables will have a suggested retail of $12.99 for a four-pack.
