Kinugawa To Head Hitachi America

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 9/2/2008

Tarrytown, N.Y. — Hitachi will promote Kiyoshi Kinugawa to president/CEO of Hitachi America at month’s end, succeeding Masahide Tanigaki.

Kinugawa currently serves as executive VP and general manager of Hitachi America’s industrial systems division.

Tanigaki, who ran the U.S. operation since 2006, will be appointed general manager of the international operations division of the parent company’s power systems group.

Both appointments will be effective on Oct. 1.

Kinugawa joined Hitachi in 1975 and moved to the U.S. unit three years ago as VP of the industrial group and the industrial components group of the company’s power and industrial division. He has served in his present position since 2006.
