Griffin Technology Intros 2nd Gen. Nano Cases, Universal Cable

By Colleen Bohen -- TWICE, 12/18/2006

Griffin Technology has released a variety of new accessory products designed to accommodate the latest generation of iPods and to complement the product's many functions. Among the introductions are two cases and a cable solution.

The first of the cases, the iClear is an update on a previous model. This latest iteration is intended to accomodate the second-generation nanos that recently hit market. The clear case is constructed of polycarbonate and gives the user full access to the click wheel, ports and controls. The product has a suggested retail price of $19.99.

The Disko case can accomodate both generations of the iPod Nano. According to the company, the Disko senses movement and responds by blinking and flashing the colored lights around the click wheel. The lights run on their own included batteries and do not affect the iPod's battery power.

The Disko is available now in black or clear and carries a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Finally, Griffin's HomeConnect is a universal, all-in-one cable solution to connect an iPod to virtually any other home entertainment component. The cable offers a variety of connection options, including two-channel stereo and composite video features.

The HomeConnect is available now for a suggested retail price of $14.99.
