By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 9/6/2007

Arlington, Va. — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced today the lineup of industry leaders slated to speak at the 2007 CEA Industry Forum.

The lineup includes keynote addresses from Barney Wragg, EMI Group’s global head of digital, and author Chip Heath. A four-day event designed to inform, connect and educate consumer electronics professionals on the latest trends, technologies and legislation affecting the industry, the 2007 CEA Industry Forum is scheduled for Oct. 14-17, at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.

Wragg’s keynote address is slated for noon on Monday, Oct. 15. Wragg will reportedly discuss EMI's recent implementation of DRM-free music sales to address the growing consumer demand for anytime, anywhere access to digital entertainment content.

Tuesday’s luncheon keynote will feature Chip Heath, co-author of the New York Times bestseller “Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die.” Heath will discuss the book and strategies used to make ideas prosper into success.

In conjunction with the CEA Industry Forum, the CE Hall Fame Dinner, which is open to press, will be held Tuesday evening. Eleven new members of the CE Hall of Fame will be inducted and honored for their efforts to improve the lifestyles of consumers. Honorees include Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft; Amar Bose, founder and chairman of Bose Electronics; and Richard M. Schulze, founder and chairman of Best Buy.

CEA’s Industry Forum also will feature a CES press briefing and a variety of interactive conference sessions on issues such as acoustic branding and scent marketing, the latest in the distributed content environment, brand protection and the latest trends in the electronic toy category.
