Ulead Systems Inks OEM Pact With Creative

TORRANCE, CALIF. -Software maker Ulead Systems signed an OEM agreement with Creative allowing that company to bundle Ulead's VideoStudio 4.0 with select products.

Creative will gain access to a specially developed version of VideoStudio 4.0, and the company said it will include the title with its Video Blaster MovieMaker product.

MovieMaker is a consumer-level video capture device that can import home videos from a camcorder or VCR to a PC through a USB connection. The video data is compressed using the MPEG2 format.

The version of VideoStudio 4.0 developed for Creative is compatible with a wide variety of computers and provides the end user with an array of video-editing tasks, including, fades, wipes and special effects that can be combined with titles, credits, music and voice-overs.
