Fujitsu's Unveils First Core Duo Notebook PC

Fujitsu Computer Systems has started shipping its first notebook powered by Intel's Core Duo Mobile Technology.

The N3530 is now shipping with a $1,449 suggested retail price for a base configuration. It is available in preconfigured and configure-to-order options at retail and direct from Fujitsu. The N3530 is positioned as a desktop replacement notebook. It has a 15.4-inch Fujitsu color-enhanced Crystal View display and can be ordered with an optional TV tuner to take advantage of its Windows Media Center Edition operating system.

System graphics are powered by ATI's Mobility Radeon X1400 card with 128MB of HyperMemory technology; a 100GB ATA hard drive; up to 2GB of dual channel DDR2 memory; and a dual-layer, dual-format DVD burner.
