Monster Rolls Out iPod/iPhone Accessories

By Staff -- TWICE, 3/30/2009

Monster announced a variety of iPod and iPhone accessories this month.

The PerformanceCar iTV Link is designed to provide an all-in-one connection to in-car entertainment systems via the iPod 30-pin connector. Featuring a 10-foot cable length, the 24k gold composite audio and video turbine connectors reportedly provide total reliability, and hard-wired installed power leads let users charge their iPods or iPhones while in use. It's compatible with latest iPods said Monster, along with the first-generation iPhone and iPhone 3G. Shipping is scheduled for May for a $59.95 suggested retail.

The iCarPlay Wireless 800 ($79.95), scheduled for April shipment, lets iPod and iPhone users transmit music wirelessly via their devices through any FM radio station. It has the company's M-Drive multifunction control, which is billed as a one-knob control that lets users keep their eyes on the road at all times. The iCarPlay Wireless 500 ($69.95, May) also reportedly enables users to broadcast iPod music wirelessly to their car's FM stereo and “tune stations with just a flick of the wrist,” said Monster.

The iCarPlay Cassette 800, ($19.95, May) will let users play iPod and iPhone music through their car stereo cassette players. It features an improved cassette head for superior sound quality, as well as a high-fidelity chipset and digital display, according to the company.

The last FM transmitter introduced by Monster, the iCarPlay Wireless 300 ($49.95, June), is a portable FM transmitter for iPods that's engineered for car or home use.
