Battery-Biz Bows Lineup For Retail

Staff -- TWICE, 11/24/2003

Battery-Biz, maker of secondary-market rechargeable batteries, has launched a national retail product rollout under the Hi-Capacity label.

The company's 1,500-SKUs of rechargeable lithium ion, nickel-metal hydride and nickel-cadmium batteries and universal recharging systems is slated for nationwide distribution in the fourth quarter.

To support the program, Battery-Biz has developed an extensive branding and positioning campaign aimed at users of personal consumer electronics. The company is introducing new retail packaging and point-of-sale displays to accompany the launch.

The company's Internet-based Battery Configurator and store-specific toll-free phone numbers will further assist retailers, who will be able to have any product delivered to the store or directly to the customer with no inventory risk. The company promises 98 percent same-day order fulfillment.
