Coustic Introduces '07 Car Audio Lineup

LAS VEGAS — Coustic Car Audio is introducing its autosaound line at booth 1001 in the North Hall.
The Compressor speaker line is positioned as the affordable "open distribution" solution for automotive and mobile electronics retail stores. With six different speaker models in the line, the new Compressor speakers may have something to offer every sound system application.
Compressor speakers from Coustic are available as coaxials or separates and feature polypropylene cones. The coaxials are available from 5.25-inch to three-way 6-inch by 9-inch speakers and have 13mm tweeters. The 6.5-inch, 5-inch by 7-inch and 6-inch by 9-inch models also include a 2.25-inch Mylar midrange. Power handling on the coaxial line ranges from 35 watt to 75 watt RMS, Coustic said.
The Crusher subwoofer line includes two subwoofer models suitable for any audio installation application with a power handling of 225 watt RMS. Available as 10-inch or 12-inch models, Crusher subwoofers have single 4-ohm voice coils to match up with Coustic amplifiers in both single and dual woofer applications, the firm said.
Specifications for the Coustic Crusher line include a sensitivity measurement for the 10-inch model (US-CX10-04) of 86.8dB (1w/1m) and the 12-inch (US-CX12-04) is 89.3dB (1w/1m). Spider plateau venting on both models allows for exceptional cooling of the voice coil, which helps to maintain performance and adds reliability, the company said.
The Power Logic amplifier line includes three models suitable for any audio installation application. Available as two-channel, four-channel, or class A/B monoblock, Power Logic amplifiers have high-level inputs, built in crossovers and style, said the company.
Suggested retail pricing and shipment dates will be available from the company during CES.
