Sennheiser Adds To Headphones Line

Sennheiser has begun shipping new in-ear headphone models that are said to block ambient noise and improve bass reproduction.

The CX 400, CX 500, CX 55 Street, and CX 95 Style earphones include easily exchangeable adapter rings to ensure a perfect fit for the ear canal, the company said, as well as newly developed cords that are resistant to handling noise.

Some include cable winders and cases to keep tangled wires at bay.

The CX 500 is the new top-of-the-line model in Sennheiser's Classic line and comes in high-gloss black, high-gloss white and titanium. It features a wider frequency response and flange ear adapters which give the ear canal phones a tight seal. It comes with a pouch, cable clip and cord winder and retails for $129.

The CX 400 has a shorter cord designed for use with arm-worn MP3 players. A 3-foot extension cable is included. It comes with a pouch, cord winder, ear adapters and a cable clip.

Sennheiser's Style line adds the CX 95 Style, a high-end metallic finished earphone design that according to the company provides a balanced sound and detailed resolution for enhanced hearing comfort. It includes a short cord with a 3-foot extension cable, a hard-shell case and ear adapters. It retails for $139.

The CX 55 boosts low-end frequency response for better bass performance. It has a reflective blue casing. and a small angle arm ensures that the cord is seamlessly routed to the ear from the front for comfort. The CX 55 includes ear adapters in small, medium and large fittings, and a pouch. It retails for $79.95.
