Callpod Unleashes Dragon

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 8/18/2008

Callpod recently announced the Dragon Bluetooth headset.

Designed to work with all Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, computers and PDAs, the Dragon has a reported 328-foot range. What's more, proprietary two-way communication software allows two Dragon headset users to talk over a 250,000-square-foot area, according to the company.

It can also connect with a user's PC for Skype calls simultaneously, allowing them to switch between a PC and mobile phone with a press of a button, Callpod said.

Other features include advanced dual-microphone noise suppression, an adjustable ear wrap, multiple adapters with USB connectivity, eight hours of talktime and up to 300 hours of standby time.

Priced at a suggested $99.99, the Dragon headset is scheduled to be available at the "end of August, early September," a Callpod spokesman told TWICE.
