Targus Cable Connects Computer To Palm V
NEW YORK — Targus is offering the USB Charge-Sync Cable for use with the Palm V Personal Digital Assistant. The lightweight cable serves the functions of both a USB/Serial Cable and AC/DC adapter, eliminating the need for mobile users to carry two bulky devices, the company said. The Charge-Sync connects a notebook computer or personal computer via a standard USB port to a Palm V's serial interface at a data transfer rate of up to 12Mbps. It also offers a one-touch built-in synchronization button and an LCD to indicate power, transmit and receive. The cable charges the Palm V directly from the notebook computer via the USB port. Supporting Palm OS 3.1 and greater, the cable is compatible with Windows 98, ME and 2000. Currently available, the suggested retail is $49.99.
