Jasco Slates D-To-A Converter Box

by John Laposky -- TWICE, 3/16/2007

Oklahoma City, Okla. — Jasco will add to its extensive accessories line a GE-branded digital-to-analog converter box that meets the new standards set this week by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

The unit is expected to launch in conjunction with the start of NTIA’s coupon voucher program in 2008.

The converter box joins Jasco’s comprehensive family of GE UltraPro products designed to optimize the digital television experience for the consumer, the company said in a release.

Jasco joins Samsung, Thomson and LG Electronics in announcing plans this week to market qualifying converter boxes.

Additional information on the NTIA coupon program is available here.
