CES News: Lenmar Slates CES Product Giveaway

By John Laposky -- TWICE, December 15, 2008

Lenmar will call attention to its newest portable power products at next month's International CES by giving one of them away.

The company will be giving away its new PowerPort Mini to all visitors to its International CES booth, 13848 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The Powerport Mini is a portable rechargeable power source that provides USB-compatible portable devices with up to 20 hours of instant backup power. Weighing less than 1.5 ounces, the Mini can provide backup power while it charges a device's battery. The Mini's lithium-ion battery recharges in an hour, the company said.

"Most of us have grown dependent on our cellphones, PDAs and iPods," said Marty Goldberg, CEO at Lenmar. "When our batteries go dead unexpectedly it can be very disruptive to be out of contact with work, friends or family. With the PowerPort Mini we have provided people with a simple, compact way to make sure that they always have the battery power they need."

The PowerPort Mini includes adapters for the iPhone and iPods, Motorola Razr, BlackBerry and other mini-USB compatible devices. Additional adapter tips are available from Lenmar for various cellphones, smartphones, MP3 players and handheld video games.

The PowerPort Mini is available now at retail in six colors — black, silver, blue, red, green and pink — with a suggested retail of $24.95.
