He succeeds executive VP Keith Zimmerman, who in turn succeeds Dave Shepard who retires this month as senior VP of American's electronics division ... Ray Navarrete, formerly of The Wiz, Fry's Electronics, Tops Appliance City and Crazy Eddie, joins BDI-Laguna as purchasing VP … Ron Coughlin, former PepsiCo exec, joins Hewlett-Packard to lead its imaging and printing group... Vik Murty, ex-Mitsubishi, Samsung, DirecTV exec, joins Channel Intelligence as marketing director/ manufacturing... CE industry veteran and ex-Mitsubishi exec, Phil Callahan, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack on June, 26. He was 57.
