JL Audio Acquires Total Mobile Audio

JL Audio has acquired Total Mobile Audio, a start-up supplier of entry-level car audio for an undisclosed sum.

JL Audio president Andy Oxenhorn said the company purchased Total Mobile Audio because of its limited distribution and quality entry-level products. "We are very impressed with Total's business model, products and marketing approach. We are very confident about the potential of this brand and the vision behind it." Industry veteran

Dan McLeod and his wife, Deb McLeod, founded total Mobile Audio several months ago. Mr. McLeod was formerly sales and product development VP at Rockford. He will remain president of the wholly-owned subsidiary.

Total Mobile Audio supplies components including amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers.
