CES 2009: Cardo Systems Upgrades Biker Headset Line

LAS VEGAS — Cardo Systems will show its latest Bluetooth-based device for helping bikers communicate and navigate at booth South 4 36601.

The scala-rider Q2 headset is a motorcycle helmet-mounted device that enables bike-to-bike communication up to 1,600 feet away. The Q2 features multiple device connection technology allowing the biker to connect to several devices at once, including GPS so the rider can hear in helmet voice instruction, cellphones and FM radio. The device's duplexing technology allows all of this to take place simultaneously, the company said.

Pricing and shipment dates were not available at press time.
