HTSA Adds Jamieson’s Audio Video

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 2/8/2007

Chester Springs, Penn. — The Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) buying group reports that it has signed Jamieson’s Audio Video of Toledo, Ohio, giving the group 58 members.

Jamieson’s is a full-service A/V specialty retailer that also offers system design and installation. David Jamieson, who joined his father’s and uncle’s company that started in 1954, is now president and took on a partner, Ric Clark.

HTSA reports that the retailer’s business has grown tenfold in the past 15 years. Now in their third location, 23 employees work in a 9,500-square-foot facility. More than 60 percent of sales are derived from custom system design and installation while more than 90 percent of the sales involve some contact with their custom installation department.

David Jamieson said he is joining HTSA for several reasons: “It is an exciting, but challenging environment for the audio/video specialist. We believe one of the ways to thrive today is to join with the best A/V specialists, share ideas and support manufacturers who believe in our mission. Our association with HTSA and interaction with its outstanding members will help us do two things — improve the quality and efficiency of our operations to better serve our clients; and continue to expand our business.”

HTSA will hold its spring group meeting in Savannah, Ga., March 11-14.
