Fagor Partners With Berloni, Porcelanosa

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 9/24/2007

Fagor America, the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Fagor Electrodomesticos, Spain's largest majap maker, has announced separate co-merchandising partnerships with Berloni and Porcelanosa, two of Europe's leading kitchen and bath furnishings designers.

Under terms of the agreements, select Fagor stainless-steel kitchen appliances are being intergrated into, and sold through, the designers' U.S. showrooms as comprehensive kitchen solutions.

Berloni is currently sold through 17 dealers domestically, although the company said it plans to add more than 80 additional accounts over a three-year period. Berloni and Fagor products are currently being co-merchandised at Sleek & Simple Kitchens, Wilmington, N.C.; La Dimora, San Francisco; Progressive Design, Royal Oak, Mich.; Bella Cucina, Sylvan Lake, Mich.; and Lee Tripi, Charlotte, N.C.

Fagor's kitchen line is also rolling out to Porcelanosa's company-owned showrooms across the country, in concert with the launch of the latter's new kitchen cabinetry collection. "Through this exciting strategic partnership, we will combine product offerings from two of the most highly recognizable consumer brands manufactured in Spain, while further extending our reach in the U.S. market," said Sara de la Hera, Fagor's sales and marketing VP. The first Porcelanosa showroom locations to showcase the Fagor line include Anaheim, Calif.; Riverside, Conn.; Rockville, Md.; Ramsey, N.J.; and Westbury, N.Y.

Fagor's full North American major appliance line includes induction, gas and radiant cooktops; convection ovens and range hoods and refrigerators and dishwashers.
