Premier Mounts Locks Flat-Panel Displays

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/19/2006

A new security device from Premier Mounts, called PaneLock, is said to prevent the removal of an LCD or plasma television from its mounting plate. The integrated theft-resistant clips latch the mounting bracket arms to the rod on the wall plate, and a security screw then locks the pieces in place.

Premier Mounts said what makes this “revolutionary” design “great” is the design features security screws that require a custom Allen wrench to attach and detach the hardware. This is expected to greatly improve the safety and security of high-traffic areas like schools and stadiums, said the company.

Product features include: a fit for CTM and PCM series display mounts, prevention of the removal of LCD or plasma displays, locking of mounting arms to wall plates, theft-resistant hooks with security screws, custom Allen wrench and a 5-ounce weight. Suggested retail is $9.99.
