Pandigital Debuts Frames, Wireless Accessories
By Greg Scoblete -- TWICE, 7/2/2007
Dublin, Calif. — Digital frame maker Pandigital is introducing more frames and a line of accessories to give the models wireless capability or an optional battery.
The new lineup ships this month and features models ranging in size from 6 inches to 15 inches. The frames will feature PictBridge compatibility, programmable on/off times and a calendar and alarm clock feature.
Additional features include a six-in-one memory card reader, internal memory, auto-rotation to properly orient photos, support for Motion JPEG, MPEG-1/-4 and AVI video, and MP3 audio playback. The frames offer built-in speakers and a headphone jack and ship with a remote control and a pair of interchangeable frames.
The top-of-the-line 15-inch PAN150-B offers 256MB of memory, a 1,024 by 768 resolution screen and a suggested retail of $299. The 11-inch PAN111-B, for a suggested $229, offers 256MB of memory and an 800 by 480 resolution screen.
For $249, the 10.4-inch PAN104-B sports an 800 by 600 display and 256MB of internal memory. The 9-inch PAN90-2 also offers 256MB of memory, and an 800 by 480 resolution screen. It will retail for a suggested $179.
Pandigital’s 8-, 7- and 6-inch frames will offer 128MB of internal memory. The 8-inch PAN80-2, for $149, offers a display resolution of 800 by 400. The $129-suggested PAN70-1 sports a 7-inch, 480 by 234 resolution display. Finally, the entry-level PAN-602B is a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 410 by 234. It will retail for a suggested $119.
All the new models will work with a $39.99 Bluetooth adapter (shipping this month) and a $49.99 Wi-Fi adapter available in August. An accessory battery pack, also in August for $49.99, gives a frame three hours of viewing time away from an outlet.

I can not find the Pandigital battery pack you write about. Where can it be purchsed?

Great to see Pandigital releasing its WiFi and Bluetooth kits. That kind of
expanded connectivity is really going to bring a lot of value to customers.
