By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 7/26/2006

Englewood Cliffs, N.J. — LG Electronics has named K.I. Kwon to president of its USA consumer electronics division, replacing J.M. Lee.

Kwon was most recently LG Electronics digital display division VP responsible for North America. He will now be responsible for the overall management and direction of the consumer electronics, commercial products and information technology businesses.

“K.I. Kwon has extensive experience in digital display and digital media products as well as with the LG brand in North America and globally, making him the ideal candidate for this position,” said Michael Ahn, president/CEO of LG Electronics North American headquarters.

With more than 24 years of experience at LG, Kwon has held a variety of senior key positions with LG Electronics Germany and LG Electronics Corporate, as well as digital television marketing VP for North America, the company said.

He succeeds J.M. Lee who is leading LG's mobile phone initiatives in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine).
