Santa Fe Springs, Calif. —Westinghouse Digital Electronics is pushing its customer-service policy headed into the holiday selling season by adding extended-service plans on all LCD products, the company said.
Under the new policy, customers who purchase Westinghouse LCD HDTVs and LCD computer monitors will be able to purchase one- and two-year extensions on their original one-year warranty by registering the product at the company’s Web site and purchasing the extended-service plan.
The company said it will also offer extended-warranty options on digital photo frames.
Rey Roque, Westinghouse Electronics marketing VP said, “Westinghouse knows what an investment LCD HDTVs, monitors and digital photo frames have become for our customers. Therefore, we want to provide the best warranty and product protection in the industry. Our extended-service plans do just that and ensure our consumers a lifetime of rich, high-quality LCD viewing enjoyment.”
Westinghouse customers will be able to rest more assured with the new two- and three-year extended-service plans, administered by Warranty Corporation of America (WACA), the company said.
Specific coverage details are provided in the terms and conditions of the plans themselves.
To register, customers can visit www.wde.com, click on Extended Service Plans and enter the product information. The Web site will help qualify consumers for the most appropriate plan for their needs.
Eligibility for the extended-service plans is quite simple: Customers only need to provide a proof of purchase and subsequently buy the extended plan within the limited warranty period.
