ORA Lays Off Majority Of Work Force

CHATSWORTH, CALIF. -Consumer electronics accessories maker ORA Electronics-a developer and supplier of interface, connectivity solutions and peripheral accessories for wireless communications devices-said it has been forced to lay off virtually its entire work force due to its severely deteriorated financial condition.

The company said it is currently is evaluating the possibility of seeking bankruptcy protection.

ORA's products supplement the effectiveness of cellular telephones, personal communications systems, pagers and computing devices. At one time, the company also supplied batteries and other CE accessories.
