Wiring Channel Upgrades Home Theater

Staff -- TWICE, 11/24/2003

A new line of wiring channel products that allows consumers to invisibly add new low-voltage wiring for home theater, cable television and computer networking in their homes is available from WireTracks.

The WireTracks product consists of a wiring channel that is installed in plane with drywall and a wiring channel cover. After attaching standard baseboard molding to the wiring channel cover, this becomes an integrated unit. When consumers want to add new wiring, they simply remove the cover, install and replace the cover.

Suggested retail for a 5-foot section of WireTracks wiring channel is about $13.45. For a bigger job, 10 pieces of 8-foot wiring channel have a suggested retail of about $199.50.
