Active Thermal Management Shows DIY Cooling Kit

By Staff -- TWICE, 1/8/2007

Active Thermal Management are showing the SEC-1, a complete do-it-yourself system for ventilating and protecting A/V systems housed in cabinets up to 10-12 cubic feet.

Consisting of a mounting panel with two 80mm fans, a power supply, a magnetically-held thermal control module and comprehensive installation instructions, the Small Enclosure Cooler greatly simplifies the installation process while providing affordable thermal protection for smaller systems, according to the company.

When an A/V system is fully operational and producing higher levels of heat, the SEC-1 automatically compensates for additional heat load by switching the fans to a higher speed.

The SEC-1 is shipping and has a suggested retail price of $130.
