Allsop Albums Add New Dimension To CD Housing

Bellingham, Wash. — Allsop, in introducing a diverse line of Disc Storage albums, is linking its computer accessories business to portable disc upkeep by helping consumers keep stacks of CDs or DVDs off the floor.
At the same time, the company said it is "bringing style and function" to its lineup of Disc Storage albums and boxes that "provide a change from boring nylon and plastic."
And the new albums are "even going beyond style and fashion," adding "character," said Allsop. One of its new CD Albums has a rich, leather-like covering, with contrasting stitching to highlight curves, corners and angles. Built with a sturdy wood frame and lip, albums close completely around discs to protect them from dust and damage. Albums are said to look great on a bookshelf or table but are tough enough to ride in a car.
Allsop's faux-leather albums are available in brown and black and in two sizes: 64-disc and 128-disc. To help protect the discs, album sleeves are made of polypropylene and fabric.
Suggested retail for the 64 Disc Album is $24.99, and it began shipping in April. The 128 Disc Album has a suggested $34.99 retail, and will start shipping later this spring.
