By Staff -- TWICE, 2/12/2007

Industry veteran Warren Mann was tapped by Haier America to lead its independent dealer channel as sales VP.

Mann joined the company Feb. 6, just in time to be at Haier America's booth during last week's the International Builders Show that was held in Orlando, Fla.

"We are pleased to have Warren spearheading our evolution into the premium market. His close relationships with so many first-rate retailers should speed Haier's transition into this quality arena," Michael Jemal, Haier's president said.

Prior to accepting this appointment, Mann was managing director/CEO of the World Merchants Buying Group, which he founded last year. Previously he spent six years as executive director of the MARTA Cooperative of America buying organization and seven years as group director for the NATM Buying Corp.

Mann began on the manufacturing side of the business having done stints at Sansui Electronics, Maxell and BASF.
