Forrester Dissects Technology Adoption

By Staff -- TWICE, 8/22/2005

America's love affair with technology devices will continue growing through the end of the decade, according to a benchmark study by Forrester Research.

By 2010, 85 percent of U.S. households will have a mobile phone; 53 percent will own a laptop; 37 percent will use a DVR; and 35 percent will own a portable MP3 player. Broadband access to the Internet will more than double in the decade.

The complete 28-page report, The State Of Consumers And Technology: Benchmark 2005, takes a comprehensive look at how consumers' attitudes toward technology influence their lives, and how consumers continue to incorporate technology products and services into their lives.

The report can be purchased by e-mailing consumertechnographics@forrester.com.
