Thomson To Enter Cordless Market in `03

Paris - According to its first quarter financial statement, Thomson will enter the cordless phone market under the RCA-brand in the second and third quarters of this year.

The company indicated that its cordless offerings will include a 5.8GHz line. A spokesperson said that the phone products were 'still in the planning stages' and had no other details.

Thomson already markets GE-branded cordless phone products through its Atlinks joint venture with Alcatel.
