Atsutoshi Nishida, former Toshiba executive VP who had turned around the company’s computer business, named president of Toshiba Corp. effective in June. Nishida, who is a 30-year company veteran, replaces Tadashi Okamura, who becomes chairman. Taizo Nishimuro, the current chairman, will assume and advisory role to the company... Christopher Milliken, president of OfficeMax, has resigned in the wake of an investigation of $3.3 million in fraudulent rebate claims billed to a vendor in 2003 and 2004. Gary Peterson, retail president and chief financial officer Brian Anderson similarly resigned last month.
