Sakar Launches Computer Accessories Lineup

LAS VEGAS — Computer accessories manufacturer Sakar International is introducing Wi-Fi Adapter under its iConcepts Mobility brand.
Designed for the PC and network user on the go, who moves in and out of both home- and office-based networks, the iConcepts Mobility Wi-Fi Adapter enables users to access Wi-Fi-driven wireless networks with USB plug-and-play ease and compatibility. Once the software has been installed, secure connectivity is achieved in minutes to other wireless networks with Wi-Fi hot-spots.
With the Wi-Fi, there is no need to purchase new laptops or PCs to enjoy wireless Wi-Fi networking technology, said the company. Existing compatible hardware can be upgraded using the easy-to-install adapter and software.
The Wi-Fi is ideal for users always on the road who need to make fast and convenient network connections, as well as the mobile home user who prefers to operate laptops in any room, or even outside the house, without having to deal with the inconvenience of redirecting cables.
The unit will be available in March. Suggested retail was not available at press time.
Edison, N.J.-based Sakar also is introducing here a new line of computer accessories, called iConcepts Inferno Illuminated, that offers cabinet designs enhanced with a signature glowing blue light. The line is available in bold, four-color packaging and is supported by merchandising tools designed to draw traffic and drive sell-through. All Inferno Illuminated products will be available in June or July.
The iConcepts Inferno Illuminated 2.1 Subwoofer System, at a suggested retail of $39.99, includes high fidelity tweeters and durable woofers. Whether the computer is playing music, video games or DVDs, speakers generate quality sound, according to the company. The iConcepts Inferno Illuninated USB Optical Mouse, at a suggested $29.99 retail, is compact in design, fitting snugly into any notebook case. A glowing blue light is a fashionable touch, while plug-and-play USB connectivity enables immediate operation without computer reboot.
The iConcepts Inferno Illuminated Internet Keyboard offers 12 one-touch hot keys that gives users direct and instant access to the Internet, favorite programs and easier multimedia control. Suggested retail is $29.99.
Also under the iConcepts Inferno Illuminated brand is a USB 1.1 4-Port Hub that allows users to connect up to four additional USB peripherals or devices in one USB port, with instant plug-and-play compatibility. No computer restart is needed. The signature glowing blue light creates a dramatic desktop look, day or night, said Sakar. Suggested retail is $19.99. The iConcepts Inferno Illuminated Lighting Rod, at a suggested $19.99 retail, adds a touch of fun to any USB-ready PC. It plugs into any USB port and emits bright dancing lights that can be set to fluctuate in sync with the audio, or remain as a steady glow. This is designed to add a sensory stimulus to PC gaming.
