Edison, N.J. — Micro Innovations is offering what it calls one of the most accurate methods to navigate and control a PC — its Compaq Wireless Optical Rechargeable Mouse with Hot Button.
The unit, which can scan a desktop at 2,300 frames per second, offers consumers a greater range of motion by eliminating the need for the bothersome cords usually associated with traditional mice.
At the touch of one button, model CPQ600iD opens any Microsoft Office application using one of the preprogrammed or customizable buttons. When the batteries run low, users simply place the mouse in its charging cradle, which doubles as the RF receiver. To promote less hand fatigue, the smoothly curved mouse housing provides users superior comfort and enhanced control, said Micro Innovations.
The serious PC user not only gets high-tech design, dual-purpose cradle and overall programmability, but also a mouse compatible with PCs running Windows 2000, XP Pro, XP Home or XP Tablet PC Edition.
The Compaq-brand CPQ600iD is currently available at a suggested $69.99 retail.
