LAS VEGAS — MediaReady showcased its MC digital home media center at International CES.
The MediaReady MC represents a fourth generation of media centers that combines personal video recording, electronic program guide, Internet browsing and download support, e-mail, CD/DVD playback, digital pictures and digital music for an enhanced television experience.
Recording favorite television shows and movies is designed to be a simple process with the electronic program guide that features advanced search features. It is possible to manage digital pictures and music collections through MediaReady MC's television-optimized interface.
The MediaReady MC base model will carry a suggested retail of $899 and will ship to leading computer and consumer electronics retailers beginning in the first quarter of this year.
It offers a 2.8GHz processor, 512MB of memory and a 200GB hard drive. It has media disc support for DVD and CD multi; audio support for CD, WAV, MP3, FLAC, Vorbis and AAC playback; and video support for MPEG-2 (SD and HD), MPEG-4, AVI and DiVX.
Its wired network is 100MBps Ethernet, and its wireless network is 11/54Mbps 802.11b/g support.
It offers video outputs for S-Video, VGA, DVI and component RCA, and video inputs for composite RCA and S-Video.
Audio outputs include stereo RCA, electrical and optical S/PDIF (with Dolby Digital / DTS Pass Through), and audio inputs for stereo RCA.
