Memorex Debuts Cleaning Products Line

Las Vegas — Memorex is introducing a 10-product line of cleaning products for CDs, DVDs, video games, keyboards, mice and computer monitors at International CES here this week. All are available this month or in February.
OptiCloth is a micro fiber cloth that removes dust, dirt and oil from discs to prevent skipping. Suggested retail is $3.99.
OptiClean is an optical media cleaning solution with a cleaning cloth for a suggested $6.99.
OptiFix is an optical cleaning solution with cleaning cloth and scratch repair solution and cloth that cleans optical media and eliminates scratches. Suggested retail is $9.99.
OptiFix Plus is a radial cleaner that cleans and repairs discs from the center to the outer edge. Suggested retail is $9.99.
OptiFix Pro is an automated product that cleans and repairs scratches from the center to the edge of CDs and DVDs, including disc cleaning and disc repair solutions and an AC adapter. Suggested retail is $29.99.
CD Clean cloths include dry, disposable cleaning cloths that remove dust, dirt and oil from CDs and DVDs. Suggested retail for a 20-pack is $3.99.
CD and DVD Laser Lens Cleaners include six-brush laser lens cleaner and seven-sound optimization tools that remove dust from a CD or DVD player lens. Suggested retail is $9.99.
PC Quick Wipes are pre-moistened PC cleaning cloths that remove dust, dirt, oil and fingerprints from CDs, DVDs, keyboards, mice and computer monitors. Suggested retail is $4.99.
The Air Duster is a non-flammable canned air that removes dust from hard to reach places on a user's keyboard, mouse and computer monitor. Suggested retail is $6.99.
Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based Memorex is showing here USB ThumbDrive, a storage device small enough to fit on a key chain. It is available in 256MB capacity for storing data, digital photos and MP3 files. Suggested retail is $179.99 and availability is this month.
Blank media supplier Memorex is debuting 4x DVD media here in –R, +R and +RW formats. All will be available in the first quarter of 2003.
Product and suggested retails include DVD-R 4.7GB 3-pack at $8.99, DVD-R 4.7GB 5-pack at $14.99 and DVD-R 4.7GB 10-pack at $27.99. In DVD+R 4.7GB, a 3-pack is $8.99, a 5-pack is $14.99 and 10-pack is $27.99. A 10-pack VC is $29.99. In DVD+RW 4.7GB, a 3-pack is $14.99, a 5-pack is $24.99 and a 10-pack is $49.99.
A new wireless keyboard and mouse from Memorex, called RF7000 Wireless EZ-Touch Keyboard and Mouse Combo, features radio frequency technology so that a direct line of sight between keyboard and receiver is not necessary.
The two-channel EZ-Touch Keyboard operates at distances of up to 6 feet, and features "hot keys" for ease of access to frequently used functions like e-mail, the Internet and MS Word applications. The five-button programmable optical mouse also features a 21-minute sleep function for optimum battery life. Availability is February and suggested retail is $79.99.
