MERA KnowledgeFest Attendance Up

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 2/8/2008

Indianapolis — The Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association (MERA) said its KnowledgeFest 2008 trade gathering for the car entertainment aftermarket is poised to be the best-attended event in its history.

Retailer pre-registration is up 147 percent over 2006, which was the year of record attendance for the annual event. MERA said the number of reps and distributors pre-registering has also increased dramatically.

The car stereo and electronics event focuses on industry trends and presents training seminars and other workshops. It will be held this year in Louisville, Ky., from March 15-18.

MERA is launching a car stereo buying group this year with Brand Source, as first announced late last year. Details on the group will be provided during a “town meeting” and a workshop at KnowledgeFest.
