H20, iTrain Team With Olympian For iPod Workouts

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 4/7/2008

H2O Audio, iTrain and Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin have joined together to launch swim workouts that can be downloaded.

iTrain is a provider of digital content fitness programs.

Coughlin reportedly began working with H2O Audio in October 2007 as its a swim-gear design and development advisor and has recently completed her first swim and fitness workout program for iTrain. The product is available as an MP3 download for swimmers, found at www.h2oaudio.com/team.

"Working with iTrain and leveraging H2O Audio's swim gear, I have been able to help produce a training program that will challenge and motivate swimmers and cross-training athletes of nearly all levels," said Coughlin in a release.

A Swim Bundle was created as part of the workout program, including the H3 waterproof headphones, iN3 waterproof case for the third-generation iPod Nano and an iN3 swim belt that's meant to provide in-water access to the iTrain swim workout.

"Our content system provides access to the very latest techniques and coaching insights in a constantly renewable format," said Grace Lazenby, president and co-founder of iTrain.

The Swim Bundle will retail for a suggested $159. It is currently available.

H2O and Coughlin will also be launching the iSH2 integrated waterproof case and headset, which the company is calling the swimmer's first signature product release.

The iSH2, scheduled to ship April 1, works with second-generation Nanos. It operates up to 10 feet under water, said the company, and features 10db greater volume output with improved base response, according to the company. They can attach to swim goggles or can be worn alone with an optional sport band.

It will retail for a suggested $79.99.
