West Melbourne, Fla. — hhgregg is opening two new locations today, bringing its store count to 110.
The new stores are located here and in Apex, N.C.
The multiregional electronics and appliance chain has targeted the Florida and North Carolina markets for accelerated growth. The company opened 13 stores in the Sunshine State last year, while the Apex store represents the retailer’s 14th location in the Tar Heel State.
“We are very pleased to continue expanding our presence in Florida and North Carolina,” said president/COO Dennis May. “The opening of these new stores allows us to leverage the investments we have already made in our distribution centers and to bring greater choices and an enjoyable shopping experience to consumers in both areas.”
hhgregg will celebrate the grand openings with ribbon-cutting ceremonies and a 20 percent discount on the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of select TVs and audio equipment at the new stores.
