Gentec Bluetooth Wireless Headset Debuts

Markham, Ontario — Gentec International is adding a new mobile-phone headset to its Planet Wireless line of mobile-phone accessories. Called the Scala-500 wireless headset, the product features Bluetooth technology and is compatible with all Bluetooth phones using version 1.1 or 1.2 hands-free or headset profiles.
The Gentec headset can be worn using a flexible ear hook, on either ear, or with the Versa-Clip eyeglass clip that mounts the earpiece on the arm of eyeglasses or sunglasses.
The Scala-500 offers a large, easy-to-reach answer/end call control button and a built-in battery that provides up to nine hours of talk time and one week standby time, according to the company.
Other headset features include noise-cancellation technology, voice activation, mute, redial, call reject, toggling and volume control. The Scala-500 kit includes the compact earpiece plus Versa-Clip, ear hook, charging cradle, universal travel wall charger, CD manual, and neckband and belt clip with carry sleeve.
