Sharp Shipping New Ultraportable

Huntington Beach, Calif.— Sharp Systems of America introduced its newest ultra-portable notebook earlier this month, the M4000 WideNote. The M4000 weighs in at 3.7 pounds and is 1-inch thick and has a 13.1W-inch display. The unit is powered by an Intel Pentium M 740 processor running at 1.73GHz and features an 80GB hard drive and a DVD/CD-RW drive. It will ship in late September with a $1,799 suggested retail price.

AOC Ships New Monitors

Miami— Monitor-maker AOC Displays has introduced three new LCD models in the 15-inch, 17-inch and 19-inch size categories. The AOC LM 960, LM760 and LM560 have suggested retail prices ranging from $199 to $300 and are now shipping into distribution. AOC also manufactures the Envision brand of monitors.
