Chief Launches Flat-Panel Mounting Rollout

Staff -- TWICE, 2/23/2004

Mounting solutions maker Chief Manufacturing is offering the PSS Swivel Table Stand, a large flat-panel display table mount with swivel capability.

A "stylish and versatile" solution for many tabletop applications, especially home theater, the mount features a plus and minus 45-degree left or right swivel, with optional stops at 15, 25 or 35 degrees. The freestanding mount provides bolt-down capability and offers a vertical-height adjustment of up to 5 inches.

Two cable management options simplify installation, and color options include metallic silver and smooth black. Suggested retail is $479 and availability is March.

New from Chief is the FCS-110 and FCD-110 Single and Dual Swing Arm Desk Mounts, which are said to be versatile and ergonomic options for mounting small flat-panel displays to table and desk surfaces.

The FCS and FCD mount both on a grommet or on the edge of a desk for hassle-free installation, incorporating the company's gravity-centered pitch and self adjust to securely hold different displays up to 40 pounds. Pitch adjustments allow 15 degrees up and down, while mounts pivot 180 degrees at desk mount, 360 degrees at arm connection and 180 degrees at display connection.

Two color options are metallic silver or black, and suggested retails are $235 for the FCS-110 and $255 for the FCD-110.

The Chief FSD-4100 Under-Cabinet Swivel Mount is said to provide unmatched flexibility and versatility for small flat-panel display mounting under cabinets and furniture. The mount is able to support most flat-panel units of up to 18 pounds, and pivots up to 220 degrees to provide expansive viewing angles. The mount also tilts up to 15 degrees for optimum viewing. Suggested retail is $219.
