Infogrames, SpringToys Target Palm OS

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 6/25/2001

Infogrames said it has formed a partnership with SpringToys Inc. to develop video games for the Palm PDA operating system.

Under the terms of the agreement, SpringToys will develop and produce six Palm OS games, which it will acquire from Infogrames' interactive software library.

The first titles slated include Asteroids, Beachhead 2000, Centipede, Deer Hunter, Driver and Pro Bass Fishing.

The companies said the growth in the PDA business and growing consumer interest in handheld interactive game playing presented the right timing for the deal.
