Maxell Shipping DVD+RW Discs

Maxell Corporation of America will begin shipping DVD+RW recordable media for data storage and multi-media applications this month. The new DVD+RW data storage media joins Maxell's DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and DVD-R general and authoring media, which the company has been shipping since last fall.

Maxell's DVD+RW media have a data storage capacity of 4.7 GB, with a transfer rate of 26.6 Mbps, support write speeds up to 2.4X and can hold up to 240 minutes of video. After they are recorded, Maxell DVD+RW discs are read compatible with all DVD playback devices, including DVD-ROM, DVD-video and DVD-Audio.

These are ideal for multi-media storage, including data, video and audio, data sharing and transfer long term date archiving and hard drive back-up. Suggested retail is $14.99.
