Digital Foci Introduces First Digital Photo Frame

By Greg Scoblete -- TWICE, 10/27/2005

Los Angeles — Imaging peripheral manufacturer Digital Foci announced its first digital photo frame.

The Image Moments frame features an 8.2-inch VGA-resolution LCD screen and accepts images via flash-memory card.

In addition to still images, the frame plays MP3 files and MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and motion JPEG video files.

The frame will be available in two styles — maple or walnut. It ships with a remote control for navigating through images or initiating slide shows. Through an onscreen display users can set up slideshows, choose transitions, zoom, rotate, pan and adjust image brightness. Files can be sorted by file type, and images can be viewed as thumbnails onscreen.

The frame accepts CompactFlash I/II, Micro Drive, SmartMedia, SD/MMC and Memory Stick/PRO. Adapters are required for the xD-Picture Card, miniSD and Memory Stick Duo formats.

The frame is shipping now for a suggested retail price of $299.
