Imation Disc Manager Boosts Productivity And Organization

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/6/2005

The Imation Disc Stakka CD and DVD Manager system is an automated carousel that stores, protects, manages and retrieves optical discs through database-driven software. It provides “virtually online” access to discs and the files saved on them.

Each enclosed carousel unit holds 100 discs and provides a seamless disc management solution that eliminates the need to physically shuffle through stacks and discs, said Imation. It provides increased productivity, organization and security for home users who seek an easy way to organize their music, games or data discs.

The included OpdiTracker Disc Management software offers an intuitive database and powerful search engine that consumers can use to peruse the database of stored discs by title, keyword, directory or file name in order to find and eject any disc within seconds, said the company. Additional security options are available.

Suggested retail is $149 and the unit currently is available in the U.S. market.
