Boston Acoustics Steps Up Custom-Install Support

Peabody, Mass. — Boston Acoustics announced new support programs to ensure that custom installers get the products they need in time to meet construction and installation deadlines.
“We developed a series of new policies that will streamline and simplify our ordering and shipping processes with the goal of making sure that every order is received on schedule,” said sales and marketing senior VP Phil Cohn.
The company also announced:

It will automatically upgrade a dealer’s order to the next highest model in the line (if available) if an ordered item won’t be in stock in time for its scheduled delivery.

It has developed a new expedited shipping program. For orders qualifying for expedited freight with a specific delivery date, the company will change the shipping method from three-day to two-day or to one-day shipping to get the product delivered by the requested date. In addition, orders qualifying for expedited shipment will ship to customers on the same day if the order is placed by 3 p.m. Eastern time and is credit-approved.

It is finalizing a new email notification system to help installers and reps track orders.
The changes are the first in a planned series of improvements that the company will make to improve service to installers, the company said.
